CHATTOGRAM, April 4, 2020 (BSS) – Three physicians and 15 staffers including nurses and ward boys of a private hospital in Chattogram have been sent for home quarantine as they came into contact with a coronavirus patient there.
The doctors and the health workers were isolated since Friday evening. Their samples have been collected for test, said Chattogram Civil Surgeon Sheikh Fazle Rabbi.
A 67-year-old man in Chattogram tested positive for coronavirus on Friday, making him port city’s first confirmed case of the virus.
The patient has been undergoing treatment at the Chattogram General Hospital from Thursday.
His samples were tested at the Bangladesh Institute of Tropical and Infectious Diseases (BITID) and the patient was found positive for coronavirus.
