CHATTOGRAM, April 1, 2020 (BSS) – Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) has set up 384 hand-washing points in different areas in the city to contain coronavirus pandemic.
The hand-washing facility is available from today at city’s different populous crossings and junctions under 41 wards of CCC.
Earlier, CC Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin inaugurated the programme on March 27 last.
CCC implemented the Life Improvement Project (LIUPC) of developing the living standard of distressed people under the financial assistance of UNDP. Under this project, donations are also being given among poor people in 24 wards of CCC.
CCC sources said the hand-washing points have been set up in 384 separate places in different wards under CCC. These points will have two soaps, a water tank and a basket daily. Besides, about 75,000 beneficiaries will be given soap and hand sanitizer under the project, the mayor said.
