Mojumder urges rich to help preventing coronavirus crisis

DHAKA, March 30, 2020 (BSS) – State Minister for Industries Kamal Ahmed
Mojumder today urged the rich and wealthy people to come forward more to
tackle the coronavirus crisis.

“As per the instruction of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, medical
facilities for the treatment of corona disease are being expanded across the
country. Humanitarian programs are also being implemented for the day
laborers and low income people,” he said.

The state minister said this while distributing daily necessaries and
sanitizers among the poor people at Mirpur area in the city, said a press
release.

Around 700 day laborers and destitute people each received 10 kg rice, 2
kg pulse, 2 kg potato, one piece of soap and a tube of hand sanitizer.

Kamal Mojumder also urged all to follow the directives of World Health
Organisation (WHO) and Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and
Research (IEDCR) to help the government contain the spread of the deadly
novel coronavirus.
