BAF sets up corona coordination and monitoring cell
DHAKA, March 25, 2020 (BSS) – Bangladesh Air Force has set up ‘Corona Coordination and Monitoring Cell’ at all the air bases across the country in order to face the coronavirus disaster.
As per the directive of the Armed Forces Division, Bangladesh Air Force is aiding Bangladesh Army and Bangladesh Navy to face any kind of national crisis, said an ISPR release here today.
To prevent the coronavirus, the Bangladesh Air Force is providing emergency aircraft transportation and medical evacuation (MEDEVAC) assistance along with the Bangladesh Army and Bangladesh Navy under ‘in aid to civil power’.
In addition to this, a medical team of the Bangladesh Air Force has been prepared with an aim of providing medical assistance in an integrated way with the Armed Forces Medical team, if necessary.
The BAF members have already been deployed in different places along with Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Navy, Bangladesh Police and other organizations, said the release.
