GAIBANDHA, March 25, 2020 (BSS) – Speakers at a function here yesterday
underscored the need for checking the spread of deadly coronavirus anyhow in
the district through active and joint efforts of all concerned.
“There is no alternative to adopt precautionary measures for building
awareness among the mass people of the district to combat the outbreak of
coronavirus (COVID-19),” they said.
They made the comments while addressing a view-exchange meeting between
the civil administration and the army officials on ‘Prevention of
Coronavirus’ at the conference room of District Collectorate building here on
Tuesday.
Deputy Commissioner Abdul Matin presided over the meeting while Civil
Surgeon (CS) Dr. ABM Abu Hanif briefed the army officials about the latest
coronavirus situation of the district elaborately.
Abu Hanif also concised them what types of measures have been taken on
behalf of the civil administration including the Health Department of the
district to contain the novel coronavirus.
Lieutenant colonel Farzana and other army officials including civil ones
took part in the meeting.
Besides, a number of working plans were adopted aimed at saving lives of
the people here from the deadly coronavirus through checking its spreading in
synchronized way, the DC said while taking to the BSS.
