604 expats home quarantined in Khulna

KHULNA, March 23, 2020 (BSS)- A total of 604 expatriate Bangladeshi
nationals were sent to keep in home-quarantine under nine upazilas and two
metropolis of the district till March 23 to prevent the spread of novel
coronavirus.

Of them, a total of 166 expatriates have been kept under the home-
quarantine in last 24 hours and as many as 25 others were released as they
maintained the condition of home quarantine for 14 days, said an official of
Khulna Civil Surgeon Office today.

“We’ve opened hotline numbers on Sunday afternoon and added eight numbers
to help the people of general cold-related diseases,” Civil Surgeon Dr. Sujat
Ahmed said.

People who have general symptoms like cold-related diseases are also asked
to contact with Civil Surgeon Office to take advices and support for staying
at home.

“We’re also trying to engage the voluntary organisations in containing
coronavirus outbreak. Some advices have already been given to them by the
