81 overseas returnees kept at home quarantine in Netrokona

NETRAKONA, Mar 21, 2020 (BSS) – A total of 81 overseas returnees have been
kept at home quarantine in ten upazilas of the district till March 21 to
check the spread of Coronavirus.

Talking to BSS today, Civil Surgeon of Netrakona Dr. Mohammad Tajul Islam
said, “A total of 81 people, who returned recently from different foreign
countries including China, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Italy, Malaysia and
Singapore, have been advised to stay at their homes for 14 days”.

Sounding a note of warning, he said stern action would be taken against
the overseas returnees, if they violate the directives of confinement.

Meanwhile, Dr Tajul said nine isolation wards have been set up in nine
upazila health complexes and one isolation ward has been set up in Netrakona
Sadar hospital in the district to provide healthcare services to the
coronavirus infected patients.

Netrakona district administration and district health department continued
distributing leaflets inscribed with doings and necessary health instructions
for containing the outbreak of the deadly virus.
