Mayor Khokan visits Jatiya Eidgah
DHAKA, June 14, 2018 (BSS) – Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Mohammad Sayeed Khokan today said all preparations have been completed to hold the main Eid congregation at the Jatiya Eidgah.
“The main Eid congregation will be held at 8.30 am on the Eid day at the Jatiya Eidgah Maidan,” he said after visiting the Eidgah here.
About one lakh people, including 5,000 women devotees, will participate in the Eid congregation, he said, adding that arrangements for ablution (oju) and mobile toilets have been made for the devotees on the premise of Eidgah.
Adequate security measures have also been taken by the law enforcement agencies, he said, adding a medical team and Fire Service personnel will be standby.
“If the weather deteriorates, the main Eid congregation will be held at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque at 9 am instead of 8.30am,” Sayeed said.
