PM mourns death of retired army officer Bazlul Karim Selim
DHAKA, March 19, 2020 (BSS) – Prime Minister and Awami League President
Sheikh Hasina today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of
Lieutenant Colonel (retd) Bazlul Karim Selim.
In a condolence message, the premier prayed for eternal peace of the
departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family, said a
party press release.
Selim, an uncle of Awami League Publicity and Publication Secretary Dr
Abdus Subhan Golap, passed away at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) here
on Wednesday at 11.25 pm at the age of 55.
He is survived by his wife, a son and daughter.
In a separate message, Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport
and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader also expressed deep shock and sorrow at
the death of Selim.
Selim was buried at Banani graveyard after a namaz-e-janaza at New DOHS
mosque at Baridhara following Asr prayers today.
