Action will be taken against quarantine rule breakers: Kamal
DHAKA, March 18, 2020 (BSS) – Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal today urged overseas returnees to follow the quarantine rules properly in the greater interest of the country.
“Stern action will be taken if anyone violates quarantine rules,” he told this, as the chief guest while inaugurating a ‘Mujib Corner’ at the head office of NRBC Bank Limited in the city’s Motijheel.
Kamal said, “The government doesn’t want to enforce the law at the beginning of the coronavirus in the country. But if anyone arrives from abroad, doesn’t follow the health ministry’s quarantine directives, legal action will be taken against him or her.”
Italy and Spain have been facing terrible situations as they did not take it seriously initially, he said adding that Bangladesh would not want to make such mistake.
Chairman of the bank along with other officials were present at the programme.
