CMP bans gathering on Patenga beach
CHATTOGRAM, March 18, 2020 (BSS) – Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) has
banned all kinds of public gatherings along Patenga beach in a bid to contain
the spread of coronavirus.
While making the announcement this morning Commissioner Mahabubur Rahman
said in the wake of massive gathering along the beach at Patenga, the CMP has
taken a decision to impose a ban on the public gathering with a view to
controlling the outbreak of coronavirus.
Additional police were deployed along the beach in the afternoon to prevent
people from entering the seashore area, he said.
The ban will be effective till further notice, he said, urging all to obey
the directives for the wellbeing of the nation.
