One held for spreading rumors about corona on Facebook
CHATTOGRAM, March 18, 2020 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a businessman from city’s MA Aziz Stadium on Tuesday night for spreading rumors about coronavirus on Facebook.
The arrested was Kamrul Hasan Rumi, 39, son of Abul Bashar, hailed from Mahajanhat area of Mirsrai upazila of the district.
RAB said the arrested person is the owner of a restaurant and an interior design firm in the city.
Mahamudul Hasan Mamun, media officer of RAB-7, said that the elite force arrested the man for spreading rumors about coronavirus on social media.
Legal action will be taken against him, he added.
