MYMENSINGH, March 13, 2020 (BSS) – A rickshaw puller and his passenger
were killed in a road accident in Bhaluka Bus Stand area on the Dhaka-
Mymensingh Highway in the district this morning.
One of the victims was Anwar Hossain, 40, a garment worker in Bhaluka,
who came from Burichang upazila of Cumilla district. The identity of the
rickshaw puller could not be known immediately.
Quoting local people, In-charge of Bhaluka Highway Police Outpost Al
Mahmud Adnan said the accident occurred as a sand laden Dhaka bound truck
crashed the rickshaw killing its peddler and passenger on the spot at around
8.30 am.
On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies.
Police seized the truck but its driver managed to flee.
A case was lodged.
