Probe report against former councilor Mizan April 2
DHAKA, March 12, 2020 (BSS) – A court here today set April 2 for
submitting probe report in a graft case against former councilor of Dhaka
North City Corporation (DNCC) Ward-32 Habibur Rahman Mizan.
Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge KM Imrul Qayes passed the order as
investigation agency Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) failed to submit the
report today.
According to case documents, Mizan acquired properties worth Taka 30.16
crore through his illegal businesses and misuse of power. ACC deputy director
Gulshan Anwar filed the case against Mizan.
Mizan, notoriously know as Pagla Mizan, was arrested on October 11,
2019, from Sreemangal of Maulvibazar district. He was secretly trying to flee
to India, the sources added.
