Police, people relation stressed for better law and order

KHULNA, Mar 9, 2020 (BSS) – Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr. Mohammad Javed Patwary today stressed the need for bridging gap between people and police relation for ensuring better law and order situation in the country.

“We are taking initiatives to improve the bond between police and people for ensuring better law and order situation,” he told at the inaugural function of newly- constructed building of the Office of Superintendent of
Police(SP) here.

Mayor of Khulna City Corporation Talukder Abdul Khaleque, Lawmaker Sheikh Salahuddin Jewel, Deputy Commissioner Md. Helal Hossain, Divisional Commissioner Dr. Muhammad Anwar Hossain Howlader, Chairman of Khulna Zila
Parishad Sheikh Harun-ur-Rashid, Police Commissioner Dr. Khondkar Lutful
Kabir and President of Khulna Press Club SM Nazrul Islam, among others, were
present at the function.

The IGP said the Bangladesh Police is becoming people-friendly as they are
working relentlessly to earn people’s trust for building a peaceful society
through ensuring law and order situation.

The government has implemented various effective and time-befitting
programme to build a modern police force to combat militancy, terrorism and
others anti social activities, he added.
