Final round of Ducsu talent hunt begins tomorrow
DHAKA, Mar 8, 2020 (BSS) – The final round of Dhaka University Central
Students’ Union’s (Ducsu) talent hunt competition will begin tomorrow.
In last November, Ducsu initiated a talent hunt competition at 18
dormitories of the university simultaneously.
Now, Ducsu is going to introduce a final competition to be held from March
9 to March 12 with the contestants, who secured first place at their
respective halls.
Ducsu Cultural Affairs secretary Asif Talukder came up with the information
at a press conference held at Ducsu bhaban.
Single recitation and Rabindra Sangeet are scheduled to be held on the
first day of the four-day long contest while solo acting and Nazrul Sangeet
on the second day, said Asif Talukdar.
Solo dance and modern songs will be held on the third day and folk songs
and prize giving ceremony will be held on the concluding day of the mega
event.
Chairperson of Theatre and Performance Studies department Dr Ahmedul Kabir
will be the chief judge throughout the event. Besides, he will be accompanied
by teachers from Bangla, Music and Dance departments, he added.
Among others, Ducsu member Tanbir Hasan Shaikat and JMI group
representative Riaz Uddin Manik were also present at the press conference.
