DHAKA, Mar 8, 2020 (BSS) – Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Md Shahab Uddin today inaugurated a “Digital Kiosk Machine” at his ministry here on the occasion of ‘Mujib Year’.
Speaking at the inauguration session, he said Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had given importance to environment conservation.
Bangabandhu implemented various programmes, including plantation, wetland and river conservation and coastal afforestation programmes, aiming to keep the balance of environment, the minister said.
On the occasion of the birth centenary of Bangabandhu, he said, visitors can know about the initiatives taken by the Father of the Nation to protect environment through the digital kiosk machine installed at the ministry.
Shahab Uddin said the ministry will display its different activities, photos and videos through the digital kiosk machine throughout the Mujib Year.
Using the digital kiosk machine, the visitors will be able to know the programmes being implemented by his ministry to save the country’s environment too, he said.
Environment, Forest and Climate Change Secretary Ziaul Hasan, joint secretary Dr Md Ashfaqul Islam Babool and deputy secretary Mohammad Shohedul Hoque Patwary were, among others, present.
