DHAKA, March 7, 2020 (BSS) – Poet Rasel Asiki has received Samaresh Basu Sahitya Award for his poetry ‘Ekti Bhasan Ekti Desh’ (A speech and a country) published marking the birth centenary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Former secretary and cultural personality Syed Margub Morshed handed over the award at a faction, organised by ‘Bishal Bangla Prokashani’ at Zahur Hossain Chowdhury Auditorium of Jatiya Press Club here today.
Election commissioner and poet Mahbub Talukder, publisher of the poetry Poet Badrul Haider, cultural personality Syed Imam Hasan, Sheikh Saadi Khan, Sadek Siddiqi, Dr Arup Ratan Choudhury and SM Mohsin attended the function with Syed Margub Morshed in the chair.
Chief Executive of ‘Bishal Bangla Prokashani’ and film personality Shahidul Haque Khan conducted the function.
