Thunderbolt kills two in Sylhet
SYLHET, March 6, 2020 (BSS) – Two people died after being hit by a
thunderbolt in Bisanakandi area under Gowainghat upazila of the district
early today.
The deceased were identified as Moina Mia, 26, of Noapara village and Nuru
Mia, 52, an inhabitant of Kunkiri village under the upazila.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Gowainghat Thana Abdul Ahad said the lightning
struck them while they were working in an open area during heavy downpour.
Two other people were also injured in the incident, the OC confirmed.
