Deputy Secretary’s body recovered in city
DHAKA, March 05, 2020 (BSS) – The body of a deputy secretary (DS) of the Labour and Employment Ministry was recovered at his Bailey Road flat under Ramna Police Station here last night, police and hospital sources said.
Police recovered the body of M Abdul Kader Chowdhury, 60, from a flat on the second floor of the “Bailey Square” building last night, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ramna Model Police Station Monirul Islam told BSS this evening.
“Being informed, police recovered the body breaking open the door which was under lock and key from inside and bad odour was coming out from the flat,” he added.
Our correspondent of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) said the deceased was unmarried. He was a son of late Joynal Abedin, an inhabitant of Char Madraj Village of Bhola district.
He said the deputy secretary was absent in his office for a week. His body was sent to DMCH morgue for autopsy.
