KHULNA, March 4, 2020 (BSS) – A youth was killed and five others were
received fatal injuries in a road accident on the Satkhira-Khulna highway in
front of Gutudia Filling Station under Dumuria upazila of the district this
morning.
The deceased was identified as Mowlana Moslem Sheikh, 23, son of Islam
Sheikh, of Shahosh village under Dumuria upazila.
Police said the accident occurred when a Khulna-bound passengers bus
knocked an engine-run Mahendra in the area, leaving Moslem dead on the spot
and injuring five others.
The five injured are Zahid Biswas, 30, Rayhan, 30, Robiul Islam, 30, Setu
Sarder, 24 and Tazina Begum, 30. All are the passengers of Mahendra, the
engine-run three-wheeler.
Police seized the vehicles and sent the body to Khulna Medical College
Hospital (KMCH) morgue, said Aminul Islam Biplob, officer-in-charge (OC) of
Dumuria Police Station.
The injured were admitted to Dumuria Health Complex, the OC added.
