DHAKA, Mar 3, 2020 (BSS) – A special session of the 11th Jatiya Sangsad
(JS) will begin on March 22 this year on the occasion of “Mujib Year”.
President Md Abdul Hamid has called the session exercising the power
bestowed upon him as per the Clause (1) of Article 72 of the Constitution, a
Parliament Secretariat press release said.
This will be seventh session of the 11th Jatiya Sangsad. The special
session will run for two days (March 22 and 23) where global personalities
are expected to deliver their speeches, marking the birth centenary of Father
of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Earlier, the sixth session of the 11th parliament was prorogued on February
18 last.
