National Voters’ Day observed in C’nawabganj
CHAPAINAWABGANJ, March 2, 2020 (BSS)- The National Voters Day-2020 was
observed in Chapainawabganj as elsewhere in the country today with the slogan
‘Cast vote after being voter, take part in building the nation’.
The district election office arranged a colourful procession which was
brought out from the deputy commissioner’s office premises around 9.30 am and
ended at the same venue after parading the main roads of the town.
Later, Deputy Commissioner (DC) AZM Nurul Hoque addressed a discussion as
the chief guest that was held at the conference room of the DC Office with
Chapainawabganj District Election Officer Md Motawakkil Rahman in the chair.
Among others, ADC (General) AKM Tazkiruzzaman, Mayor of Chapainawabganj
Municipality Md Nazrul Islam, Upazila Nirbahi Officer of Sadar Upazila Md
Alamgir Hossain spoke on the occasion.
The speakers highlighted the importance of using voting power of the
citizens.
Besides, the day was also observed in other four upazilas of the district.
