15 gold bars seized at Dhaka airport
DHAKA, Mar 1, 2020 (BSS) – Customs Intelligence officials today seized 15
gold bars weighing 1.5kg and arrested one person at Hazrat Shahjalal
International Airport here.
The arrestee is identified as Md Pasha, said Director General of Customs
Intelligence and Investigation Directorate Shahidul Islam today confirming
the matter to BSS.
Customs Intelligence sources said on suspicion, they searched the body of
Pasha and recovered the gold bars kept tactfully inside his body.
The estimated cost of the seized gold is approximately Taka 75 lakh.
Legal actions have been taken in this regard.
