DHAKA, Mar 1, 2020 (BSS)-Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Md Tajul Islam today underscored the need for ensuring coordination between elected local government representatives and administration to help continue the country’s development endeavours.
He was addressing a view-exchange meeting as chief guest at CIRDAP auditorium on the activities of upazila and union parishads organized by Governance Advocacy Forum.
Tajul Islam said the government has developed the country tremendously, including infrastructure, communication, and electricity.
The per capita income rose to around two thousand dollars, he added.
Parliament member Aroma Dutta, Coordinator of Governance Advocacy Forum Mohsin Ali and Dhaka University Professor Dr. MM Akash, among others, addressed the meeting.
