Bangabandhu Gabeshana Parishad begins programme on Mujib Year
DHAKA, Mar 1, 2020 (BSS) – The year-long programme of Bangabandhu Gabeshana Parishad on the occasion of the birth centenary celebration of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman
Began here today, pledging to materialize the dreams of the great leader.
President of Bangabandhu Gabeshana Parishad Lion Gani Mia Babul placed floral wreath at the portrait of Bangabandhu in front of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum on Dhanmondi Road-32.
Then a seminar titled `Bangabandhu Theke Bishwabondhu’ was held on the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum premises.
Press Council Chairman Justice Mohammed Mumtaz Uddin Ahmed attended the program as chief guest while Begum Shamsun Nahar Bhuiyan,MP and Ekushey Padak winner language movement veteran Shamsul Huda were present as special guests with Bangabandhu Gabeshana Parishad President Lion Gani Mia Babul in the chair.
In his speech, Mumtaz Uddin said all have to work together in the `Mujib Year’ to fulfill the ideals and dreams of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
He also said, working for people’s welfare is the biggest ideology of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
His dream was to establish a poverty-free, hunger-free and secular country and his daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working relentlessly to fulfill the dream of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to build up the country as a prosperous nation.
Among others, President of Jatiya Ganotantrik League M.A.Jalil, Chairman of NAP Bashani M.A. Bashani and Darbesh Ahsanullah Bashani were present at the seminar.
Besides, the parishadhas taken up programmes on the occasion of Independence Day.
