Inclusive education needed for developing skilled human resources

KHULNA, Mar 1, 2020 (BSS) – Speakers at a discussion here on Saturday
opined that inclusive, equitable and quality education action plan for
all is very important for developing skilled workforce to take the nation forward successfully.

They observed that all the government and non-government entities
concerned should come forward and work together to attain Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

They came up with the observation while addressing a workshop titled
“Action Plan against NDD (Neuro Developmental Disorder), Autism, Gender and Inclusive Education Action Plan” at CSS AVA centre in the city.

Director General of Primary Education Mohammad Fasiullah inaugurated the
workshop as the chief guest with Deputy Director of Khulna Primary Education
Department Meherun Nesha in the chair.

Director of the Directorate of Education (Policy and Operation) Khan Md
Nurul Amin, Deputy Commissioner of Khulna Mohammad Helal Hossain and
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Sarwar Ahmed Salehin attended the
workshop as special guests.

Mohammad Fasiullah said the present government under the dynamic
leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is very much positive to this
issue and it has been working relentlessly to attain the SDGs.

He said education is the key to a country’s success and primary education
is the cornerstone on which this success is built.

After taking charge the present government nationalized around 26,000
Primary schools, he said, adding that the country will move forward and
achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Maintaining quality in primary education is necessary to achieve SDGs which calls for
attaining inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong
learning opportunities for all, he added.

All district primary education officers under the division, assistant
district education officers, upazila primary education officers and assistant
upazila primary education officer participated in the workshop.
