JASHORE, March 1, 2020 (BSS) – Two people, including a woman, were killed and three others injured as a truck hit a CNG-run auto rickshaw in Palbari area in the town today.
The deceased were identified as Mohammod Hassan, 36, hailed from Doulotdihi village in Sadar upazila and Tania Khatun, 32, an inhabitant in Bagherpara upazila in the district. Tania was an NGO worker.
Officer-in-Charge of Jashore Model Thana Moniruzzaman said the accident occurred at around 9am on Jashore-Jhenaidah Road. CNG passengers Mohammod Hassan and Tania were brought to Jashore 250-bed Hospital where the duty doctor declared them dead.
Police seized the truck.
A case was filed in this regard.
