Ensure quality primary education for skilled manpower: Zakir

RANGPUR, Feb 29, 2020 (BSS) – State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Md. Zakir Hossain, MP, today directed primary school teachers to improve the quality and standard of primary education for producing skilled manpower.

“There is no alternative but to turning the population into skilled human resources through ensuring quality education at the primary level to realise Bangabandhu’s dream of building a developed Sonar Bangla,” he said.

Zakir was addressing the launching function of the Diploma in Primary Education (DPEd) courses of the first and second shifts for the 2020-2021 sessions and fresher’s reception at Primary Teachers Training Institute (PTI) in the city as the chief guest.

The State Minister said Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman clearly understood the necessity of producing skilled manpower through ensuring quality primary education for building a developed Sonar Bangla.

“Like Bangabandhu, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina also has given maximum attention to enhance teaching skills of the primary level school teachers through providing necessary training for improving the quality of primary education,” he said.

Congratulating the newly admitted primary school teachers for the DPEd courses in two shifts at Rangpur PTI, Zakir called upon them to attentively complete the courses and devote to teaching students utilising their training skills.

Presided over by Superintendent of Rangpur PTI Khondker Iqbal Hossain, Deputy Commissioner Asib Ahsan, President of district Awami League (AL) Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed, General Secretary of city AL Tushar Kanti Mandal, Additional Superintendent of Police Abu Maruf Hossain, Additional Deputy Police Commissioner of Rangpur Metropolitan Police Shahidullah Kowsar attended the function as special guests.
