KHULNA, Feb 29, 2020 (BSS) – The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Khulna-6 has rescued a girl and arrested two abductors from city’s flower market at Farazipara road area in the early hours today.
The elite force also seized two mobile phones and three sim cards from their possession.
On secret information, a RAB team led by Major Md Anis-uz-Zaman and ASP Md Tofazzal Hossain conducted drives in the area around 2.00am today. RAB members, however, rescued the victim in front of the flower market and arrested two kidnappers while others managed to flee.
Earlier, the law enforcement agencies came to know that kidnappers took position in front of Fulleswary flower shop at the flower market along with victim to collect ransom money from victim’s father.
The arrested two siblings are Md Nabi Molla, 29, and Abdul Kabir Molla, 21, son of Gafur Molla, residence at village Gadaipur underAshashuni upazila in Satkhira.
The victim is Halima Khatun, 11, daughter of Ruhul Amin, residence at Mohammad Nagar area under labonchara police Station, since missing on February 20, 2020. Abductors kidnapped Halima near her residence in a view to collect ransom Taka 10,000 from her father Ruhul Amin.
