Khaled Mahmud Bhuiyan indicted in drugs case

DHAKA, Feb 26, 2020 (BSS) – A Dhaka court today framed charges in a
narcotics case against former Dhaka city Jubo League leader Khaled Mahmud
Bhuiyan.

Dhaka 3rd Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge Robiul Alam passed the
order in presence of Bhuiyan as he pleaded not guilty. The court set April 1
to start recording deposition of the witnesses.

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-3 arrested Khaled Mahmud Bhuiyan from his
Gulshan residence on the evening of September 18, 2019, for allegedly running
an illegal casino in the city’s Fakirerpool area.

The law enforcing agency seized illegal weapons, yaba and huge cash from
his residence. RAB handed him over to Gulshan Police Station September 19
afternoon.

RAB filed three cases, one for possessing illegal arms, one under
narcotics control act and one under money laundering prevention act against
Khaled.
