KUSHTIA, Feb 25, 2020 (BSS) – A court here today sentenced a man to death sentence for killing his mother in Doulotpur upazila of the district in 2018.
District and Session Judge Arup Kumar Goswami handed down the verdict to Jwel Sarder alias Jwel, 28, hailed from Angdia village under the upazila.
According to the prosecution, Jwel hacked to death his mother Banu in
daytime at their house over family feud on September 22 in 2018. Following
the murder, Jwel’s father Azizul Sarder filed a case accusing him.
Police submitted the chargesheet to the court on January 1 in 2019.
Testifying witnesses and evidences the court gave the order in presence of
Jwel.
