Rain likely at many places over the country

DHAKA, Feb 25, 2020 (BSS) – Bangladesh Meteorological Department today
predicted that rain or thundershowers may occur in different parts of the
country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9 am today.

“Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is
likely to occur at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Sylhet,
Dhaka and Khulna divisions and at one or two places over Barishal and
Chattogram divisions,” said a met office bulletin issued this morning..

As an extended outlook for the next 48 hours, the bulletin predicted that
the rainfall and thundershower activity may continue.

However, night temperature may rise slightly and day temperature may fall
by 1-2 degrees Celsius over the country.

The highest temperature on Monday was recorded 31.2 degrees Celsius in
Rangamati in Chattogram division while today’s minimum temperature was 13.8
degrees Celsius inTetulia of Rangpur division.

The sun sets at 5:59 pm today and rises at 6:24 am tomorrow in the
capital.
