Former UP chairman hacked to death in Narail
NARAIL, Feb 25, 2020 (BSS) – A former UP chairman was hacked to death by
miscreants in front of Char Kalna Government Primary School on Lohagora-Kalna
road under Lohagora upazila of the district on Monday evening.
The deceased was identified as M Badar Uddin Khandaker, 43, former
chairman of Lohagora union parishad and son of Moer Ali Khandaker, a resident
of Kalna village in the upazila.
Officer-in-Charge of Lohagora police station M Alamgir Hossain confirmed
the matter.
Police and local said the terrorists attacked Badar Uddin with sharp
weapons in the area when he was returning home riding on motorcycle from his
brick kiln in Kalna Ghat area at 6pm.
Locals rescued him and taken to Khulna Medical College Hospital where
on-duty doctor declared him dead at 9 pm.
A case was filed in this connection.
