FFs to get free access to launch, ferry terminals
DHAKA, Feb 24, 2020 (BSS) – All ferry and launch terminals under Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) will waive entry fees and terminal charges for Freedom Fighters (FF) to make their journey on waterways easier in the Mujib Year.
The freedom fighters having proper identity card (ID) will enjoy the free access to launch and ferry terminals across the country from March 17 next.
The Shipping Ministry issued an office order in this regard here today, said a press release.
The decision will come into effect from March 17, 2020 with the beginning of Mujib Year marking the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The decision of waiving entry fees and terminals charges will remain effective until further order.
