Passing out parade of constables held in Rajshahi
RAJSHAHI, Feb 24, 2020 (BSS) – The passing out parade of the 163rd batch of trainee constables was held at the parade ground of Bangladesh Police Academy (BPA) at Sarda in Rajshahi today.
BPA Principal Dr Nazibur Rahman attended the ceremony as the chief guest. Vice Principal Abdullahel Baqui, DIG Abdullah Al Mahmud and Additional DIG Lokman Hakim were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest called upon the newly recruited constables to devote themselves to eliminate crimes including militancy and terrorism for ensuring peace and security in the society.
Earlier, the chief guest reviewed the smartly turned out parade and took salute at the impressive march past commanded by Assistant Superintendent of Police Yeakub Hossain.
He also distributed awards among seven entry constables for their outstanding performance in the training.
A total of 624 constables took part in the passing out parade on completion of their six-month foundation training at the academy.
High-ranking police, civil officials and members of the civil society witnessed the spec.
