4 killed in Tangail road accident
TANGAIL, Feb 22, 2020 (BSS) – Four people were killed and three others
injured in a collision between a laguna and a covered van in Mirzapur upazila
of the district today.
The deceased were identified as Jahanur, 18, resident in Gaibandha
district, Tapon Chandra Das, hailed from Gaibandha, Morjina Begum, 27, hailed
from Tangail and Rasheda Begum, an inhabitant in Rangpur district.
All the dead were reportedly employees of Nasir Glass Industry in the
area.
The fatal accident occurred in Gorai area on Dhaka-Tangail Highway in
Mirzapur Upazila this morning.
Two people died on the spot and two others succumbed to their injuries at
hospital while undergoing treatment.
Officer-in-Charge of Gorai Highway Thana Moniruzzaman said a case was
filed in this regard.
The injured are now undergoing treatment at Mirzapur Kumudini Hospital.
