Int. Mother Language day observed in Jamalpur
JAMALPUR, Feb 21, 2020 (BSS) – Amar Ekushey and the International Mother
Language Day was observed in the district in a befitting manner today.
The day’s programme began with placing wreaths at central Shaheed Minar to
pay homage to the martyrs.
Lawmaker of Jamalpur, Engineer Mojaffar Hossain placed wreaths at the
Shaheed Minar at one minute past midnight .
He was followed by Police Administration, Zila Parishad, Jamalpur
municipality, Freedom fighters, Upazila Parishad, District Bar Association,
political parties, educational institutes, Jamalpur press club and scores of
social and cultural organisations.
Besides, District Administration, political parties and various cultural
and social organisations also observed the day through daylong programmes.
