Tricotex becomes title sponsor of Women’s Football League
DHAKA, Feb 21, 2020 (BSS)- Tricotex Private Limited come forward to stand
beside the country’s women’s football by becoming the title sponsor of the
women’s football league that begins from tomorrow (Saturday) at Birshreshtha
Shaheed Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in the city’s Kamalapur.
In this regards, a signing ceremony between Bangladesh Football Federation
(BFF) and Tricotex Private Limited was held today (Friday) at BFF conference
room.
Under the contract signing ceremony, Tricotex Private Limited will sponsor
the women’s football league for the next three years.
Apart from the title sponsor, ‘cholo kheli trust’ has become the strategic
partner of the league.
BFF women’s wing chairman and FIFA council member Mahfuza Akter Kiron, BFF
general secretary Abu Nayeem Sohag, Sher-e-Bangla National Foundation
chairman AK Fayazul Haque and ‘cholo kheli trust’ general secretary Mazedul
Islam, among others, were present in the signing ceremony.
On the opening day of the league, Bashundhara Kings takes on Begum Anwara
Sports Club in the lone encounter that kicks off at 3 pm.
On the following day (Sunday), Cumilla United will play against Jamalpur
Kacharipara Ekadash while Spartan MK Gallactico Sylhet Football Club meet
Nasrin Sports Academy.
The each participating team of the league will have Taka 2,00,000.00 ( Taka
two lacs) as participation money in addition the champions will get Taka
2,000,00.00 (Taka two lacs) while the runners-up will receive Taka 1,00000.00
(Taka one lac) as prize money.
A total of seven teams — Bashundhara Kings, Begum Anwara Sporting Club,
Comilla United, Jamalpur Kacharipara Akadash, Spartan, MK Gallactico Sylhet
FC, FU Uttar Bango and Nasrin Sports Academy — are taking part in the
league, organized by BFF.
