LALMONIRHAT, Feb 20, 2020 (BSS) – Police in separate drives arrested two drug peddlers with 195 bottles of phensidyl from Kaliganj upazila of the district.
The detainees were identified as Rabiul Islam Rubel, 25, hailed from
Gangachara Upazila in Rangpur district and Rana Mia, 20, an inhabitant of
Kaliganj upazila.
Acting on secret information, police conducted a drive in Kakina Mor in
kaliganj Upazila and detained Rabiul with 90 bottles of phensidyl.
Later, on the basis of the statement of the arrestee, police also
rounded up Rana at Khamarvati village of the Upazila at around 11 pm last
night.
Two cases were filed under Narcotics Control Act.
Officer-in-Charge of Kaliganj Thana Arzu Mohammod Sajjad said the detainees
have been produced before to court this noon.
