Two killed in separate road accidents in Jashore
JASHORE, Feb 19, 2020 (BSS) – Two people including a bus driver were killed
and 21 others injured in two separate road accidents in Sharsha and
Bagherpara Upazila of the district.
The deceased were identified as driver Dobir Uddin, 30, hailed from
Pulerhat area in Jashore and Mosharrof Hossain, 48, a resident of Magura
district.
Officer-in-Charge of Sharsha Thana, Ataur Rahman said the accident occurred
when a bus collided head-on with another bus at Harikhali at around 8 am.
Driver Dobir Uddin died on the spot. Twenty other people were injured in the
accident. They were admitted to nearby clinics and hospital.
In another accident, Mosharrof Hossain was killed as his motorcycle hit a
standing truck at around 11 pm last night in Shimakhali bridge area on
Jashore-Magura Road in Bagherpara Upazila.
Mosharrof was taken to Jashore 250 bed Hospital, where the duty doctors
declared him dead. His wife Shahnaj Parveen was also injured in the accident,
police said.
