DHAKA, Feb 19, 2020 (BSS) – The 5th meeting of the parliamentary
standing committee on Ministry of Science and Technology was held here today
at Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban with committee chairman AFM Ruhul Haque in the
chair.
The meeting was attended by minister of science and technology Yeafesh
Osman, committee members- Md Shafiqul Azam Khan, Md Mozaffar Hossain, Md
Akhtarizzaman, Shirin Ahmed, Selim Ahmed and Habiba Rahman Khan, said a press
release issued here.
The committee held an elaborate discussion on ‘Bangladesh Engineering
Research Council Bill 2020’.
The committee recommended sending the bill to the parliament after
necessary amendments and correction, added the release.
Science and Technology Senior Secretary, Legislative and Parliament
Department Joint Secretary, senior officials of different organizations and
the parliament were present among others, during the meeting.
