NARSINGDI, June 11, 2018 (BSS) – Prices of rice have marked downtrend with
the huge supply of Boro rice in the markets of the district.
Traders at Narsingdi district town told BSS that the prices of all kinds of
rice have come down with adequate supply of rice in the markets.
Course rice is being sold at Taka 36 to 38 per kg against TK 40 to 42 per
kg a month ago, middle variety at TK 42 to 44 per kg and fine quality of rice
at Tk 52 to 56 now.
Over 58,000 hectares of land had been brought under Boro paddy cultivation
in the district and a good yield has already been achieved this year.
