Weeklong Bangabandhu Book Fair begins in Rangpur

RANGPUR, Feb 17, 2020 (BSS) – A weeklong ‘Bangabandhu Book Fair-2020’
marking the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh
Mujibur Rahman began on Rangpur Range Reserve Force Police Lines ground in
the city on Sunday afternoon.

The Rangpur Range Reserve Force Police Lines of Bangladesh Police is
organising the fair displaying various kinds of books on Bangabandhu at
twelve stalls set up on the fairground in Mahiganj area of the city.

Besides, a solo art show displaying some 800 art works on Bangabandhu
painted by Commandant of Rangpur Range Reserve Force Police Lines and Police
Super Mehedul Karim is also being exhibited on the same venue.

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Rangpur Range of Bangladesh Police
Devdas Bhattacharya formally inaugurated the book fair and visited different
book stalls and painting works on Bangabandhu in the fair as the chief guest.

Commandant of Rangpur Range Reserve Force Police Lines and Police Super
Mehedul Karim presided over the inaugural function of the book fair.

Additional DIG for Rangpur Range Police ATM Mozahedul Islam, Rangpur
Police Super Biplob Kumar Sarkar, high ranking police officials of Rangpur
Range, District Police and Rangpur Range Reserve Force Police Lines attended
the function.

A large number of teachers and students of different educational
institutions of Rangpur metropolitan city, leaders and activists of different
sociocultural, professional, literary and political organisations and local
elites were present.
