Sharif joins housing and public works ministry
DHAKA, Feb 16, 2020 (BSS)-Newly appointed State Minister for Housing and Public Works Sharif Ahmed today took over his new assignment of the ministry, pledging to implement all development projects under the ministry within the stipulated time and also maintaining quality of works.
Later, he exchanged greetings with officers and employees of the ministry and other organizations under the ministry at the conference room.
Housing and Public Works Secretary Md Shaheed Ullah Khandaker briefed the state minister about the activities of the ministry.
Sharif urged all officers and employees of the ministry to contribute to nation-building tasks.
The country will be taken to a higher tier of development through sincere efforts of the officers and employees, he said.
Earlier, Sharif was given the charge of state minister for housing and public works ministry. Before joining here, he was state minister for social welfare.
Senior officials of Housing and Public Works Ministry, among others, were present to welcome the newly-appointed state minister.
