6 WC winners drafted in BCB XI for practice game against Zimbabwe

DHAKA, Feb 16, 2020 (BSS)- The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced the BCB XI for the two-day practice game against Zimbabwe on Sunday.

The game will be held on February 18-19 at the Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP).

The team has six players who were part of the ICC Under19 Cricket World
Cup winning side including the captain Akbar Ali.

The other players are– Parvez Hossain Emon, Mahmudul Hasan Joy, Shoriful
Islam, Shahadat Hossain, Tanzid Hasan Tamim.

Notably, no players of the current national team were considered to take
part in this match.

Zimbabwe arrived in the country on Saturday to play full bilateral series,
comprised with one-off Test, three ODIs and two T20 Internationals.

After the two-day practice game, Zimbabwe will take on Bangladesh for the
lone Test, starting on February 22 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket
Stadium.
