Bus mows down 9 students in northern India, 6 dead
NEW DELHI, June 11, 2018 (BSS/Xinhua) -As many as nine students were run over by a bus in India’s northern state of Uttar Pradesh late on Sunday evening, the Asian News International (ANI) news agency reported Monday.
Of the total nine students, six died instantly while three were admitted to a hospital. The condition of the two injured is said to be critical.
The students were going from Santkabirnagar district to the religious city of Haridwar in neighbouring Uttarakhand state. They were standing by the road side for refueling their vehicle when the fast running bus suddenly mowed them.
The accident reportedly occurred on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway near the Kannauj district.
