Two matches of Bangabandhu Shaheed Smrity Hockey held in opener
DHAKA, Feb 13, 2020 (BSS)- Two matches of the Bangabandhu Shaheed Smrity
Hockey tournament were decided on the first day (Thursday) at Moulana Bhasani
National Hockey Stadium.
In the day’s first match, Bangladesh Army beat Bangladesh Air Force by 4-3
goals in the day’s opening match.
Mamun Mia scored a brace in the 38th and 42nd minutes while Ahsan Habib
and Hasan Jubayer Niloy netted one goal each for the winning side in the 13th
and 57th minute respectively for the winners’.
On the other hand, Sajib Hossain, Rokibul Hasan and Sobuj scored one goal
each for Air Force in the 34th, 50th and 58th minute respectively. In the
day’s second match, Bangladesh Navy drubbed Bangladesh Police by 5-0 goals.
In the day’s proceeding, Mahbub Hossain struck twice in the 19th and 47th
minutes while Roman Sarkar, Moinul Islam and Ashraful Islam added one goal
apiece for Navy in the 14th, 49th and 51st minutes respectively.
Organised by Bangladesh Hockey Federation (NHF), a total of four services
teams will compete in the meet. The participating teams are Bangladesh Army,
Bangladesh Navy Bangladesh Air Force and Bangladesh Police.
