Three get life-term jail for murder in Kushtia
KUSHTIA, Feb 11, 2020 (BSS) – A court here today sentenced three people to
life-term imprisonment and fined them Taka 50,000 each in a case lodged over
murder of one Habil Bepari in 2015.
The three convicts are Md Robiul Islam, Golam Sarwar alias Soru, 45 and
Anisuzzaman alias Anis, 57. Of the three, Robiul is yet to be arrested.
Judge Arup Kumar Goswami of Kushtia District and Sessions Judge Court
pronounced the judgement in the crowded courtroom.
According to the case documents, police recovered body of one from a ditch
beside Kushtia-Jhenaidah Highway in Shantidanga area on October 15, 2015.
Police filed a case in this regard with Islamic University Police Station.
On April 27, 2017, police, filed charge sheet in the case against Golam
Sarwar, Anisuzzaman alias Anis and Md Robiul Islam, saying the three killed
peanut trader Habil Bepari of Jamalpurpur in a pre-planned way to snatch
peanuts worth around Taka 1.54 lakh from him.
