Nation revels in Under-19’s World Cup triumph

DHAKA, Feb 10, 2020 (BSS)- Bangladesh exalted in Under-19 team’s maiden
World Cup triumph as the accolades kept pouring on still.

Akbar Ali and his team showed an unwavering resolve under tremendous
pressure to win the World Cup, edging mighty India past by three wickets in a
nervy clash at Senwes Park in Potchefstroom, South Africa on Sunday.

This is though the biggest achievement of the country’s cricketing
history, celebrations especially through the social platform proved that
Bangladesh actually became matured as they now believe that they can win big
trophy.

Once captain Akbar Ali played a serene 43 not out to sail the side home,
the ex-players and fans took the social media platform to acknowledge the
‘huge’ victory.

“A proud moment for the nation,” wrote Abid Ali in his facebook page, a
student of Dhaka University. The national had the belief that these boys
could win a big trophy and they proved it. It’s time for the celebration.”

One of the all time great batsmen of the cricketing history Viv Richards
wrote: “Congratulations @BCBtigers! Hope this inspires the entire world and
may this be just one of many more accolades to come. Also, dear India, you
have been exceptional so far, keep your heads high. #U19CWCFinal”

India’s former all-rounder Harbhajan Singh also took his twitter handle to
congratulate Bangladesh.

“This was a great final U-19 WORLD CUP…congratulations @BCBtigers for
winning the U19 World Cup…Team india chin up don’t worry u guys played like
a champion @BCCI”

Australia’s former all-rounder and currently a coach by profession Tom
Moody wrote: “A wonderful moment for @BCBtigers thoroughly deserved this
victory. #WorldCup #CWCU19 #FutureStars”

Bangladesh’s former skipper Khaled Mashud Pilot said, “I’m really proud of
the guys. It’s a matter of great pleasure for the country, people and the
players as well.”

Bangladesh ODI captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza also couldn’t resist his urge
to congratulate the successors.

“Alhamdulliah, This feeling is totally different. Congratulations to the
entire team, Coaching staff, selectors, the BCB and entire nation,” Mashrafe
Bin Mortaza wrote on his verified facebook page, congratulating winning Youth
Tigers.

Mushfiqur Rahim in his impromptu reaction said, “Alhamdulillah!! I can say
without a doubt the biggest achievement in my life is becoming a cricketer
from Bangladesh. These boys have made me prouder than ever. Congratulations
superstars!!!!!.”

Shakib Al Hasan on his verified facebook page wrote, “My heartiest
congratulations to the U-19 Bangladesh cricket team for their superb
performances in the World Cup so far. Here’s to wishing that the cubs go on
to lift the cup!”

“The young Tigers have made history! With a great display of all-round
cricket, the Tigers of Bangladesh beat the young Kiwis to secure a place in
the final of the ICC U-19 World Cup for the first time ever.”

Congratulating the roaring Youth Tigers, Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal
wrote on his facebook post, “Heartiest congratulations to the Bangladesh U19
team for winning the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup 2020. You made the whole
country proud.”

“What a moment! World Champions! Proud of the boys. Heartiest
congratulations to Bangladesh U19s!!,” Mahmudullah Riyad .

“Congratulations boys,” Liton Das wrote.

“Bangladesh U-19 congratulations!!!” Mustafizur Rahman.

“Alhamdulillah, Congratulations. The world champion of U19 cricket. Love
you boys,” Rubel Hossain.

“Congratulations for the amazing victory ! You guys made the whole nation
